Country Roads

When I fisrt saw Lori's post about a new quilt along, I wasn't sure what I would use as most of my scraps are earmarked with other projects.  BUT luck would have it that one of our students gifted ,me with a fresh baggy of these beauties - PERFECT!

The blocks worked up quickly - I can see doing a large quilt with these pretties.

And this has been sitting on the shelf for some time, waiting for the right project. (it's not this orange)

I wanted my blocks to float, so instead of making a small inner border I made my setting triangles a little larger.

Please visit Humble Quilts to see everyone's link-up. And thank you Lori for another fun quilt along.

Sewingly Yours,
 Sharon

  2. I make my blocks float a little too, or else they wouldn't have any points! LOL I do love the cheddar you chose.

  3. Beautiful. The cheddar is so perfect. I would have not thought to make the setting triangles larger. I also added a border, and really like the idea. What a fun quilt-along :)
