Slow Stitching Sunday

It has been a while since I slowed down and did some handwork.  While I was in 'nurse' mode and busy with the quilt show, I did a lot of reorganizing and clearing.  Seems I had more hidden under piles of work and fabric.  So fabric put away or cycled into respective storage, patterns/books back on the shelves, and in-progress projects into kitted totes.

Then I found this stitchery I was doing so long ago - just needs the bit of backstitching done for a finish, so this is my sit and slow down project for today.

Please visit Kathy to see what others are slowing down with,
Sewingly Yours,

  1. For the first time in forever, I sat down and hand stitched a quilt backing this week. That's all the handwork I intend to do! LOL!! Love your little project here.

  2. I have several cross stitch pieces that I started a long time ago. I really need to dig them out and take the time to get them finished one of these days. :0)

  3. Cross stitch can be very relaxing - especially when it is just the finishing up :) That's a sweet design. What will you do with it when it's done?

  4. Very cute! I don't think I'll get much slow stitching done today because my niece is visiting and I have a Halloween costume to make but next week...

  5. I found it very inspirational to get organized and a great way to get the ufo's done is to chose those that are close to being finished. Doesn't make you wonder why you just didn't finish it in the first place. Enjoy your stitches today!

  11. Isn't it nice to get a UFO done? I have a few that are very close to the end too and wonder why I just didn't finish them years ago--guess it's the distraction of something new to work on! Your little mercantile is very cute!
