Christmas QAL - July

It's that time again.  This is a great time to start that Ho Ho Ho Hop project - or that 100 Quilts for Kids - or that Scrap Challenge quilt - come stitch with us.

This weekend will be hosted by Hazel - be sure to link up if you come to play.  You may even want to take a look at that challenge again - a non red/green Christmas (small) project.

I pre-assembled this project so I can spend the weekend in 'chopping' it down to size.

And I have this piece prepped for 'fabric framing'.

I, also, pulled some scraps, orphan blocks, and FQs to make some doll quilts for Get Your Mrs Claus On Project.

These projects should make for a good stitching weekend.

UPDATE

Well I chopped up that 32" x 34" project using my new little rotary and that tiny template - I was very careful of my fingers!!!

This is the back - lots of seams that took a lot of starch and  very hot iron - and again careful of those fingers.  Now it is 15" x15.5"!!!  This will be the last you see of this piece as it is one of my HO HO HO pieces.  It still has a long way to go and will my focal project thru the week.  It will interesting to set up a Christmas photo shoot in 90 + weather.

And two of the dolly quilts are done.  The other two are basted up and waiting for me to set up the other machine for it's fancy stitches.  They will be on tomorrow's finishing list.

The cross stitch winter barn yard scene is fabric framed (yes the back again) and I pulled some left over bindings to audition.  Yes, this piece is my other HO HO HO project.  It will get some other final embellishments to finish it off.

And I forgot - I was suppose to draw the winner of the large zip bag of selvadges!

The winner is KT - I will be sending her a personal e-mail for information so I can get them mailed right out.

*** I have some errands to run and then some visitors arriving for the evening, so this will be my wrap up for the day - but will be back tomorrow ***

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
