As I still struggle with grief over the loss of my brother, I am thankful that my Mom is still with us. It will be a very small gathering and quiet day with plenty of food - and probably naps.
Wishing you many blessings as the year gets closer to a finish,
Sewingly YOurs,
Sharon
The first holiday after a loss is always hard. I hope you can enjoy the day. A nap sounds like a fine idea!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Thanksgiving. I am thankful for you and your quilting inspiration. Yes naps should be on the agenda
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you, Sharon. Enjoy your meal. We’re a small gathering too, and a small family at this point.
ReplyDeleteMay you hold fond memories of your brother and never forget. I'm a firm believer to take time and find quiet, holding your hand out, palm up, to reach out and feel his presence as he is watching over you and your mom. Big virtual hug and I do so hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI know the grief you feel, Sharon. My husband of 34 years died suddenly 5 weeks ago today. I'm thankful for my wonderful friends who are watching out for me. I'll be joining one of them for a small dinner today.
