I've had this book now for almost a year, so time to put it to use. A very interesting read on the blocks and hobo life on the rails. I want to make the large quilt with all the blocks, but....
there are a lot of smaller projets using one or a few of the blocks. This one caught me eye.
I have most of the blocks cut out and prepped for assembly. They work up very fast. I'll lay those out and then see what colors I need for filling in. I'll make one of these for the larger quilt as well.
I have lot's of homespuns, plaids, and shirt cottons that need using up. There are some cute small projects in the book - and then make each block for the big quilt. This play probably will carry right on right into Fall.
I stepped away from the computer and all media for the weekend and forgot I was suppose to pull a winner for the "Wild" Hop giveaway.

Love the train blocks.
ReplyDeleteThe train bocks are lovely, but your book, what a delight to read through and sort out a new pattern.
ReplyDeleteThose train blocks are perfect for plaids and shirtings.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Colette!. Looking forward to seeing your Hobo Quilt. Maybe you'll get yours done quicker than Barbara got hers done (no race).
ReplyDeleteI’m looking forward to seeing how your quilt turns out.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a neat book. I like the use of plaids in the train blocks.
