I would like to thank PATTY for hosting the OMG for another year. It was a great source for me last year to either move projects into their next phase or completely finish them. Please visit to see how others are using OMG this year and maybe join in.
I would like to finish this project for January and since RSC21 color is PINK for the month, I am killing two birds with one stone - so to speak. This, also, plays along with my year's theme of NEW as I need to buy some fabric for the outer border. I know which LQS (yes, I want to support local this year) carries heritage prints and I want a honey brown with maybe a tiny pink flower (Marcus).
I have this very vintage piece for the backing and binding. Remember, this was one of my Mom's 40+yr. PIGS - project in a grocery bag - and it would be nice to get this one into a finished quilt. January is a long month and here in the Nor'East - always wintry and cold - it is a good project to tackle while house bound.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
It is going to feel good to get your pink quilt finished. Great way to enjoy staying warm inside.
ReplyDeleteThat’s going to be a very pretty quilt when it’s all finished. I’m still trying to decide whether I want to tackle a RSC this year. Because of our travels, I’m always several months behind before I even get started.
ReplyDeleteIt will, be lovely to get that quilt finished, it is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck finishing up this PINK project for January's Rainbow Scrap Challenge, Sharon!!
ReplyDeleteNow, that is a great idea, finish up a quilt top in the color of the month! Love it!
ReplyDeleteA 40-year-old UFO finally getting finished up in the New Year -- what a great start to a shiny new 2021. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful tribute to your mother to finish up one of her PIGs. It's a beauty!
