We had an unexpected night of snow, wind, and ice which led to me finding out just how graceful I was when heading out to the post office. I didn't fall, thankfully, but it was one of those manauvers that would make for some good laughs on one of those shows.
And rounding out this dreadful year with things failing. My microwave works if I call it the right (not so nice) names and pound on it, the TV blew a tube so no picture (but I only use it for white noise), and I was really expecting the washing machine next - Not Yet. It was the camera and hopefully it is just because the battery won't recharge and a new one will cure the problem.
A quilt blogger with no photos just won't do, but I'm not doing any sewing right now - although I need to photo my OMG finish. I am flipping things around the house. Things have been in place for soooooooooo many years, time for a new look. As well as the sewing stuff needs a new shuffle.
Be Safe,
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
Welcome to our world, Sharon! So far: had to buy--new dishwasher, microwave and now clothes washer --waiting for delivery on this last one with clothes piling up;(((..Fun fun, right?
ReplyDeleteHugs from afar Julierose
Glad to know you didn't fall or get hurt. Nothing like turning your world upside down. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteWith all the reports of appliance inventory shortfalls and long wait times for delivery, I'm holding my breath that not of our aging appliances decide to give up the ghost. Hope the camera is an easy fix.

Glad you didn't fall. Be careful out there. Sorry about the appliances. What a pain to deal with.
ReplyDeleteWe are waiting for the washer to quit....love your "flips"
ReplyDeleteIce is so dangerous, do you ever wear Yaktrax, slip on cleats? They sell them here in NZ in the far south where ice and snow happen far more often that where we live. Great cartoon , a friend fell when running on our local streets last Friday and she said the first thing she did was to see if anyone was watching!!!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as one thing breaks down they all join in. Do take care on the ice, you really don't need any broken bones. Flipping things around sounds good. I've been making small changes here and so far the family haven't got annoyed about it. Usually they do especially my son who has high functioning autism. Usually if I move anything it gets put back where it should be.
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness, Sharon!! Glad you didn't get hurt in that pre-winter snow and ice. Sorry about the failing appliances!
ReplyDeleteGlad you didnt fall. We had to get a microwave and dryer. Ughhhh almost like someone flips a switch and says hmmm you need a new one.....of this, this and this
ReplyDeleteGlad it wasn't you falling! Those 'skating' maneuvers to keep upright may be awkward, but if they work, so much the better. Hope your appliances straighten up and fly right!
ReplyDeleteHappy you are still in one piece.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you didn't fall! Seems appliances give up the ghost in threes. Keep safe.
ReplyDeleteGlad you didn't fall but I know what you mean when you say it would make great laughs on one of those shows. I've had a few of those and it was caught on the school camera and my daughter was with me once. She was scared at first if I hurt myself but when I said I was okay she bust out laughing. Sorry for all your things breaking. I'm the only thing falling apart around here. Take care.
