I used the August OMG to push for another quilting finish on flimsy stuffed in that (bottomless) tote. Well, actually that tote has found it's bottom finally.
The goal was to get this scrappy patriotic quilt finished for the Wounded Warriors Winter Games, but that has now been cancelled. It will be held on for possible 2021 donation.
All the sashing and churns done with a stitch in the ditsh with a free form star inside each churn.
I had used this extra wide on a couple of quilts and had several large pieces from the cut offs. Those were pieced to make the backing for this. The binding came from the 'binding drawer' - all the navy blues for a scrappy binding to complete the quilt.

ReplyDeleteI am glad you were able to find the bottom of the tote. I have totes whose bottoms I am trying to find, so it is good to know that they do exist! This is a really beautiful quilt. I am sure it will be worth the wait and will be treasured.
