It's been working real well for me to use OMG this year to move a project on to it's next phase and not have it sit for any length of time or forgotten.
My March goal was to get some old cross stitch blocks re-tooled and into a flimsy. This is an alphabet sampler that has been lost for too long. I have backing and batt ready and it will now wait in line to be quilted.

The OMG is a great motivator! It’s good to know that I’m not the only one that have a stack of stichery blocks, Done but not finished!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your OMG finish.
ReplyDeleteThis month my OMG has been to put away the SQUIRREL projects fabrics that never came to be born so I can get on with some of the older UFO's in my stash. A few years ago I made LOADS of blocks, that finish at 5", and this week I counted them and checked how many I would need. I was able to weed out 71 that I had made in some rogue colorways, and I still have more than enough to make a king size bed when set with alternate fabric blocks! Yea! Those rogue ones went into a small bin together so they can marinate a little longer while I make the big one. The alternate fabric shirtings have been ordered! 1800's reprints, semi scrappy. The blocks are various indigo prints with shirtings. So no matchy has to happen.
ReplyDeleteI like your cross stitch quilt. Have fun quilting it.
ReplyDeleteThose blocks are great. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish.
