It Begins
Our first major snow storm is in progress and we sit right in one of those pink zones. Not only snow, but bitter cold and windy making it colder. I snuck out the day before and picked up a few staples - mainly , keep that kitty food and snacks in good supply as my furries are not happy with this at all.
I just want some mindless stitching the next couple of day so I will keep working on the two different size postage stamp blocks. Currently I have 6 of each, but those barrels are still pretty stuffed and will carry on until these are completed.
The next Temecula Secret Santa Mystery step should come out today, and I will tackle those little cuties as well.
My heart is aching for all those in harms way - such lost is overwhelming. I will do my best to donate blocks and flimsies to those collecting as a small part that I can play. I know from going thru our own town's devistation years ago, this is something you never recover from.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
There's so much that's been happening all over the place with fires, hurricanes, and lots of snow. My heart aches for all of them, too. Stay safe and enjoy sewing while holed up avoiding the cold!
ReplyDeleteStay safe and warm! We're currently waiting for the snowplow guy to come dig us out. Argh - so much white stuff!
ReplyDeleteYes, a lot of loss this year. It’s heartbreaking...so many that it seems hardly anyone doesn’t know somebody who...makes me grateful for what I have. Stay warm and dry, my friend. Mindless stitching sounds good to me.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem that long ago to me you were under snow, I knkw that was last winter though. Keep warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow - here's hoping it misses you. ^^
ReplyDeleteLiving in the South, I cannot imagine so much snow. An inch shuts us down! I hope you stay warm and have no problems.
ReplyDeleteThat storm packed quite a whammy! I saw news stories that it got so bad so fast, some kids had to spend the night at school because it was too dangerous to get them home or have the parents come get them. Hopefully you got in good stitching time while it raged.
ReplyDeleteWe got 12.5" when the forecast was for 6-10". It's melting fast, but still too early for this amount of cold and snow. Never did finish the garden clean-up. I'm stitching some blocks for the Carolina Hurricane quilt project. Keep the kitties happy.

Ugh! We had snow Wednesday night into yesterday morning. It was only 6 inches and it has already melted off the roads, but the woods are still blanketed. Hope you and the kitties stay snug and warm. I'm not ready for winter.
ReplyDeleteNow, that kind of winter is something I don't miss at all!
