Well, the Juki went off yesterday to the repair service. I have the back-up machine set up and figured I would pull one of the totes in that grey crate stand next to the table. The long forgotten Temecula Quilt Co 'Goose' project! I should be able to chain these thru that little Brother with no problem with breaks taken to catch up on some handwork.
I have these ready for some needleturn work - last couple of month's blocks for the Yankee Diary. I think I will start with the leaves as they should go quick and keep me encouraged to carry on.
I pulled the few scraps of yellow out of the temperature tote (hmm, could pull the yellow thread, too) and added some blues. We haven gotten even colder and will be there for a while. We've had a few snowflakes in the air, but nothing ground sticking - YET.

Your temperature rosette is starting to look like the ones I made through our winter.
ReplyDeleteLots of geese flying. It seems to be migration season in more ways than one. Happy sewing.
ReplyDeleteBurr...it was cold here yesterday too.
ReplyDeleteYou're always so organized! Cold weather is a great time for doing those bindings (my least favorite part).
ReplyDeleteLove the goose project! No snow here but it's beginning to get cooler. Still wearing shorts, though!
ReplyDeleteWe had snowflakes in the air yesterday, too, and woke up to a heavy frost this morning. Brrr...
ReplyDeleteI hope your Juki feels better soon!
A good machine repair man is like gold!! I have found a new man to look at the Gammill, and if he can get it running again, I will be so happy. Colder, here as well, yesterday there was snow in the far south, we began with 5C, where our younger daughter lives, -1C was a start, real feel with wind chill was -7, and their maximum was 4C. And this is almost the end of spring down here!!!
ReplyDeleteHope your machine is fixed ok. Just got my little Janome back from a service. You have lots of interesting projects on the go there, we are heading for 21 deg C and sunshine today.
ReplyDeleteIt's great news when your machine comes home. I took my best machine to the hospital and learned that it was terminal. I was not a happy camper. I didn't know what I wanted to do about a machine. That was in the summer of 2016. I could not believe it. In October I was gifted a brand new basic sewing machine. The only thing I wish I had was a feed-drop. Since I don't do much free motion quilting, it's not a big deal. It was a pleasant surprise.
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to see your scrappy projects , love the geese . It has gotten colder here too the past couple of days but no snow yet !
ReplyDeleteYou've got a good plan to keep busy while your other machine is in the shop. Hope it all goes well.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your geese coming together - it's such a fun, scrappy project. Your temps are kinda all over the map just like ours. The blue/turquoise fabrics are very soothing.
ReplyDeleteLove the variety of projects awaiting you. Fun.
ReplyDeleteI think this is one of the most significant information for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd i’m glad reading your article.
But should remark on some general things, the web site style is perfect,
the articles is really great : D. Good job…
