Oh, Scrap

I enjoyed playing with some scraps to make some of the 12 Days of Christmas blocks hosted by Marian @ Seams to be Sew and Janeen @ Quilt Art Design.  I saved the lovely applique patterns offered by Marian for a different project.  I chose to use just a few of the house blocks and set them in the Attic Window style.  There will be more work on this next year as I gather bits to use as embellishments and applique to dress this up.

Our snowy scene isn't so bright and fun.  Yes, more snow and more COLD!  It is that gray.......

This is not set to gray scale on my camera - this is what it looks like for real.  Someone asked about all the buildings and were they neighbors.  NO, we have a lot of barns and out buildings on our farm.  When it warms up I am going to have to share this part of Vroomans Quilts.

** linking up with Oh, Scrap **

It is bitter cold, snowy, icy in so many places - stay safe,
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

  2. Great window quilt. Our snow event for yesterday and today, seems to be fizzling. Hoping it doesn't come thru late tonight. Stay warm.

  4. I really love your attic windows version, really sweet . It looks grey and dull here too with snow covering everything and super cold the past two days . Winter has arrived early .

  5. Lovely attic windows. Maybe too cold to get some outdoor photos now, but with the snow, it gives us in warmer climes a better idea of how your winters are. Lots of sheds, NEVER too many,on our 3 acres we have Hugh's large workshop, the quad and tractor shed, the tool shed, 2 more storage sheds and a small glasshouse. Then the open wood sheds, one is small, one larger, and one has 2 narrow bays for the chip heater wood.So when I add them up, we have a lot!!!

  8. I've got an attic windows pattern bookmarked that I want to use with a snowman fabric. Someday.
Knowing you, at least you probably have enough projects to keep you busy during these snowy months. The nasty weather does make it difficult to finish last minute holiday preparations though.

  14. Your quilt is nice and I know it will be more so once you finish it. Like you I'm not loving our winter so far and I think it isn't going to be any better for quite a while.
