I'm still not well enough to sit too long at the sewing machine or feel safe to handle that rotary cutter, so it is a good day to do some slow stitching with KATHY.
I'm a week behind on my circles, so I will catch that row up and then prep the next row - maybe even get that done, too.
I have some help today in processing down this new scrap bag into color piles - no rotary cutting today. I will look for some pretties to add to my circles.
I borrowed this collage off Barbara of CatPatches blog post. A new button is on the side bar that will take you to her post on these adorable Bag Ladies stitcheries. A new sew along for 2017. I already know my theme for 2017 is going to be about NAMES. I have so many fabric bundles that have 'names' and quilt patterns that have cute names (Adoralee is scheduled for January). So this works perfectly into my NAME theme as well as a lovely group project that can be used along with Slow Sunday Stitching.
So hop over to visit Barbara and she will tell you all about it - AND - she is hosting a give away.
Happy Monday,
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
Those adorable bag ladies, how hard to choose.I haven't dared to think of 2017, just to finish this year happily and healthily will be good, never mind what still needs to be done.I hope you are taking each day slowly and getting better.
ReplyDeleteYour helper looks ready to sort out that fabric for you! The cat may not use the same categories as you when sorting! Hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteLove your sewing assistant, I hope you are feeling yourself again soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your "help" is all over the move and back in the spirit of things again! The stitcheries are darling -- thank you for sharing about that!
ReplyDeleteOh no. So sorry to hear you have been under the weather. Sounds like some slow stitching and relaxing are just the thing to make you better.
ReplyDeleteAre you near the end of your circles? I think I will be done around November 12/13...hard to believe I've been at it for almost a year!
ReplyDeleteThat will be a fun sewalong! Hope you can enjoy some relaxing stitching today!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better. Enjoy your slow stitching today. I like your Names theme. I have a similar problem, fat quarter bundles that really should end up in projects. I've been playing around with an idea for a challenge. If your thinking along those lines, I'm interested.
ReplyDeleteI love the bag ladies, I bought them a while back and haven't started them yet. I hope each day you get a little stonger so you can sit and sew longer.
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for that plug, m'dear! Keep on feeling better and better.
ReplyDeleteAlways love seeing your kitties as they are such great helpers! I too like your name theme and am glad you are feeling better. :) :) Enjoy your stitching today.
ReplyDeleteI'm so grateful for slow stitching! It's perfect for when were are not feeling well. I pray you are quickly back to yourself and enjoying slow stitching until then! Hugs! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my Sharon. I'm so sorry to hear that you have been sick. I've been away from blogland for a while and missed some of your wonderful posts. Been catching up today. So many beautiful pieces. Happy to hear that you will be able to slow down for a few months to give yourself time to get your strength back ... Please take care of yourself, dear.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to see pictures of the fur babies!
Gosh Sharon, I hope you feel much better soon!
ReplyDeleteYou have the BEST kind of helper :)
You can name your bag ladies, as you make them
