I have been laboring with getting ready for our big lawn sale day. We are setting up in one of our barns, so rain or shine we are in business. We are about 90% done with the barn items and then we are setting up a tent for the 'FREE' pile.
Then when I collapse in the house, I labor to prep work for possible sew time when this is all over. However, I need to sew!
Just to show what else I got on my trip to the Quilt Zoo. The light blue is for the 'other grandmother's garden' hexie project - the baskets. Lots of Jo Morton at $6 a yard. Some is for the Temecula QAL project and some is for Westering Women. When you scrap quilt, there never is yardage for that finishing phase.
The two FQs of bee prints are for a bag project. I really thought this panel was Mary Engelbreit, but it is "Sugar & Spice" by Dana Brooks for Henry Glass. I have been collecting bits of ME and it's time to use it. This panel will marry so well with it.
Since our shop is open on Labor Day and we all are taking a day off from prepping for the yard sale, I am going to celebrate with the work of my hands and sew.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
Wow, you always have so much on your plate...and you get it done! I hope you enjoy sewing today. I LOVE that bear paw pattern...that will be so sweet with scrappy browns. I will enjoy your progress on that, as I do with all your fun, scrappy projects!
ReplyDeleteYou got some great fabrics to finish out some of your projects. Hope the sale went well and you got lots done on Labor Day. I'm still laboring to catch up on blogs and such.
ReplyDeleteThat's a sweet panel. Eww what a neat idea. One day I'll have a barn but then I think I'm done having lawn/garage sales. I'll donate to charity and take the tax deduction. Hope your sale went well
