It was a very long, monotonous day! If any of you have sat straight line quilting with you walking foot, you know what I mean. BUT, the center portion of the rail/colorwash is quilted. Now three borders to tackle. Maybe I will get this one done by the end of the month.
It's Day 10 of 12 Days and SARAH has us so close to finishing that Christmas Quilt. By making easy 1 hour steps each day of this hop, a very doable project which is going to give you the most beautiful quilt.
Today's Hosts Are:
I want to share some cute and quick little Santa ornaments today. I can remember my Mom making these over 40 years ago with the church ladies, so this pattern has been around for some time. The original pattern that I used, the site is no longer active, but I have created a new pdf for the paper pieced pattern. I need to make more of these. SANTA ORNAMENT
Today will be another long day as I am helping to sell raffle tickets for a quilt at a local craft fair.
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
Thanks for the ornament pattern for the Santas! I've seen them before but never had a pattern. Good luck selling tickets!
ReplyDeleteSo cute - never seen these before. Thanks, Susan
ReplyDeleteI have done those straight seams over and over again too, and it is tedious. I love the look when it's finished though. The little santa ornaments are adorable.
ReplyDeleteStraight line quilting = total boredom - but it does look great! And I just love those Santa ornaments - just might give them a try!

ReplyDeleteEvery minute spent quilting gets it one step closer to a finish, Sharon. I love your little Santas. They would make great name tags too.
ReplyDeleteStraight line quilting seems to take forever, but it's so worth it, the look and texture are always so great. The Santa is cute, thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteUgh - yes that is not the most exciting quilty thing you could be doing, but of course it helps to think about the lovely finish you are about to have! Thanks for the ornament pattern too - I've always wanted to make one or a hundred of those :*)
ReplyDeleteThe Santa's are really cute! You've been very productive the last couple of weeks. Congrats on all the finishes and near finishes.
ReplyDeleteThose Santa's are adorable and most definitely line quilting is boring and driving me crazy. It seems to take for ever but it's gotta be done.
