Schoharie Valley Piecemakers Quilt Show - Day 2

Today I did white gloving the The Best House.  We were busy the entire time - 2 white gloves from our quild for the handling of quilts and any quilt questions and three Best House curators for the tours and history of the houses.  I took a lot of pictures and I am just going to let them speak for themselves - some of the antique quilts were donated for the weekend by guild members and some are part of the Best House.

This one did bother me for the longest time - each time I talked about it - AH HA - do you see the misplaced HST?

Tomorrow I white glove at the Library and main show - more pictures to follow.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

  4. I was going to say maybe the "misplaced" HST is the Amish mistake in the quilt except the mistakes are very, very difficult to detect in the Amish quilts, typically. What a great job to have today! I'm anxious for more pics.

  7. Sharon, that is so funny I was going to say I liked the red one the best but I like it even more with the mishap! Because that is something I would do and just leave it that way.LOL

  16. Beautiful setting for the show; I love the furniture as well as the quilts:) I'm more interested than bothered by the hst; I wonder about the maker. Did she not see it until it was too late or do it on purpose?

  21. I love the first quilt most of all. The quilting is amazing on so many if them. I do see the HST....it really stands out. Might it be a humility block or whatever it is called?
