This weeks archive finds with Val's Quilting Studio are Geese and Flowers. I don't do a lot of flowers, but I have a lot of geese. I know most dread making those flying geese units, but I love them.
I make a lot of 'country' geese quilts with plaids and homespuns, so I thought I would share something in a totally different direction from my norm. The original post can be found HERE.
This flower mini was originally posted HERE and you will find another smaller mini there too.
Going thru past blog posts is fun - won't you join in?
Sewingly ours,
Sharon
Those flower 'geese' are cute.
ReplyDeleteI finally figured out how you did those flower geese. Too cute. I spent some time going through some old photos of donation quilts I've made. I looked at some and thought ugh! But, others made me think I need a few more brights in my stash!
ReplyDeleteYour geese quilt is beautiful, Sharon. What is your favourite method for making the geese units?
ReplyDeleteLove your Schnibbles quilt; it's a classic.
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are gorgeous - it took me a bit to find the FG in the flower quilt! I love the effect of fg, don't mind making them but I have a fg quilt I started when I was a new quilter that wouldn't fit - now that I have learnt a little I should go back to it :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are lovely, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon i love your quilt and mini, well done and enjoy your day my friend.xx
ReplyDeleteI love both of them! The geese have always be one of my favorite blocks.
ReplyDeleteGreat flowers. It took me a little while to figure it out as well. Love it.
ReplyDeleteLove both the flying geese projects you posted. I don't mind making flying geese, but I don't like trimming them up.
