Slow Stitching Sunday
Yep, I am still plugging away at this one. I have 3 colors I am missing (with all that floss and missing) so waiting on those to come. So working around those spots as best I can. Would like to get the one tree finished and the roof.
This is my February project. I received this little kit for Christmas. I don't like to use the floss that comes in the kits, so I will be switching it out with my DMC so it is ready for next month.
I wanted to set up my 'Let's Book It" project so I could chain more units inbetween my handwork. BUT, Moe needed a nap! This project is giving me fits and giggles - so Moe can nap.

Are you working on a new project or just making a comfy bed for Moe?!?! So cute!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your slow stitching today and thanks for linking up!
Cute kitten. I'm enjoying your slow stitching projects. Moe is so funny. Always helping you out in the sewing room.
ReplyDeleteI have gone back to stitching projects and I enjoy it so much. You January piece is adorable. You have patients. I started working on linen, I think I got the hang of it and really enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteSeeing your stitcheries makes me consider getting some of mine out to work on, perhaps in time. I think Moe definitely found a nice place to nap.
ReplyDeleteI really need to dig out my cross stitch again. You are inspiring me to get back and stitch xx
ReplyDeleteAhh Moe looks so comfy. Great work on the cross stitch. Having read your blog I dug mine out and I've been working on it.
ReplyDeleteLove the x stitching...great patterns! And poor Moe..gotta need/have/want some beauty sleep! :)
ReplyDeletefunny alot of us seem to be doing x stitch at the moment, enjoy Sharon your work looks lovely.xx
ReplyDeleteHe sure looks comfy laying there...I admire anyone who does cross stitching...I just do not have the patience to work on it, although I have tried several times.
ReplyDeleteMy word that's a mammoth x stitch, and kitty is cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that country scene - it's coming along nicely! And isn't that why we quilt - to give our pets somewhere to sleep? Enjoy your slow stitching!!
ReplyDeleteWow you are moving right along on the stitching! Poor Moe, he looks just beat.
ReplyDeleteYour little helper sure looks comfy! Such pretty stitcheries. Have fun working on them.
ReplyDeleteMoe looks like one of those cats who you can just pull up out of his sleeping position and he's limp and snuggly. Don't ruin my perception if he's not! I love the little kitten cross stitch! How are you feeling?
ReplyDeleteI really love looking at your cross stitch project each week it is going to be so awesome! I have a dream of owning a truck like that one to drive on Sundays to church. Wouldn't that be so fun and bouncy. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is looking great. I'd say that kitty looks pretty comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI like the block with the fussy cut rose, it's beautiful, at first I thought it was a page in the book. I guess Moe knew you needed a break :)
ReplyDeleteThat kitten is way too stinkin' cute!! :) Can't wait to see it finished...I was at one time REALLY into cross stitch, they are great for relaxing in front of the tv or listening to a book. :)
ReplyDeleteSharon, you really need to give Moe a break! LOL What are you doing to tucker the poor kitty out so much?!
ReplyDeleteIs there a reason that you don't use the floss that comes with your kits (inquiring minds, you know)?
Camping season is coming up and instead of lugging the sewing machine (and related supplies) I'm thinking of pulling out one of the many cross stitch pamphlets I have & pick a "travel project".
Keep up the steady work!
You are really making head way on this beautiful cross stitch Sharon!! I haven't done any in years but I always preferred using DMC also. Moe looks adorable!!
ReplyDeleteyour cross stitch work is beautiful and that kitten piece looks like it's going to be a fun piece too.
ReplyDeletei have gotten a big smile from your shot of Moe 'helping' you out with your piecing. My Emmitt was 'helping' me today as i tried to sort and fold some of the stash fabrics . . . he likes to jump onto my shoulders and will drape himself over the back of my neck in order to be able to see everything and better supervise what is going on. i always worry that he's going to fall off but his balance (and determination) is very good.
