Seeing Hexies
If you are not aware, an extra day was added to the next Hop. I look forward to seeing this one. I love Hexies, just melt over a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt, but.....
I love to work really tiny and I can't see me doing anything other than an occassional flower on a project. So I am watching from the sidelines this time.
I do love to paper piece and also use up those scraps in a variety of projects,
so I will work my hexies up this way. I don't know where, who, when, or how I got that very worn pattern (would love to give credit) - but it was in my loose leaf folder and I had to start using those scraps and strings in that cute green bucket that sits in the middle of the sewing table.
So remember to catch the Hexie Hop and I will be, also, linking up with Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday.
And linking up to Linky Tuesday with Connie
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon
Your hexies are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your PP work. with scraps.
Greetings Grit
Thanks for the hexie preview Sharon! Love those tiny little hexies :*) And the others look like crazy blocks - too cute and a great way to use up those scraps!
ReplyDeleteI love your hexis - the blog hop should be fun but will mean another project to add to my list!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute way to use hexies. Love that pattern.
ReplyDeleteLove your string hexies. I knew you would have a special spin on things!
ReplyDeleteThose hexies are wonderful. The colors are terrific too. I can't wait to see this project grow.
ReplyDeleteCan't take my eyes off of those string hexi blocks. Trying to figure out how it goes together and it reminds me of a pineapple block. Is there a name for the pattern? Really would like to find instructions!! Am like you with the reg. hexie's there is only so many things you can do with them, but very pretty. Good job!
ReplyDeleteWhat neat hexie scrap blocks Sharon.....gosh now I want to make some!!
ReplyDeleteTiny and scrappy, two ways to use up scraps for your Hexies!
ReplyDeleteNice Hexies! I just finished my first Hexie project. Kind of nervous to share now LOL. All the other talents will be out there :)
ReplyDeleteI love these blocks. They combine two of my favorite things hexies and strings.
ReplyDeleteYou always have good ideas! I like that you are making the little hexi's and putting them in a bowl and also like the paper pieced scrap quilt. I'd love to find a pattern for that.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool way to use the hexi! Sort of a pineapple-esqe looking block! I had to look twice to see the hexi in the middle!
ReplyDeleteI love your very modern hexi-pineapples!!! I'm going to have to try this, that is so cool.
ReplyDeleteI love those hexi-pineapples as well! I must give them a try!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, those look so cool!
