We have an evergreen tree that needs to be taken down before it falls down & takes out the corner of our yard, but there is a family of birds in it so I don't want to take it down now. . . but perhaps in the fall I will have no choice as it keeps leaning further & further into the road.

I hope that any additional storms are small for you.Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11615766893549743938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4251826517940652812.post-10766037592401572782014-07-30T07:04:08.811-07:002014-07-30T07:04:08.811-07:00My city lucked out, but there was a tornado near B...My city lucked out, but there was a tornado near Boston, so it must have traveled a very narrow path here. I would mourn the trees, too. It's sad to see beauty destroyed, even by Mother Nature. I love the picture of your cats looking so peaceful. A hurricane pulled up a magnolia tree in our yard about 20 years ago, and my mother could not bear to remove it. So my brother used his truck to pull it upright and then secured it in place with heavy ties. It looked scrawny for a few years, but never died and is now it's old self.
