Whooping Friday

I started my play with the sneakers and got to the point of making a scrappy final border with the left over bright fabrics when a 'smack the forehead' moment hit.  I wanted to use some of these fabrics in the Baby Giraffes - pattern by Lorna @ Sew Fresh Quilts.  I have three of the four giraffes done and will finish up the blue one today.  Everything is cut to make this into a complete flimsy.  Then I can resume the Sneakers - and probably will still have some of those colorful fabrics left (but I'm putting them away).

I did finish my project for the Facebook 'One Monthly Finishe' group for the month of March.  I was hoping for a nice day when I could photo outside, but any sunny day (few) has had gale winds and my quilts would be in Canada!

Kitty Quilt number two was finished and one of my donations for Hands2Help.  The graph for this quilt is can be found HERE and you can easily use any simple block or even a juvenile print in those patches.  A 'no-reply' commenter asked if I was planning on making the larger version - probably some time in the fall.  I have LOTs of other animals I want to play with.

Kitty Quilt number one is finished - and I am just seeing a block set wrong.  It's done and will be another Hands2Help donation.  I'm sure a happy little one wrapped in a hug is not going to care.

I have been trying to average 4 finished quilts a month, but with the long MARCH I did seven.  A few of those were for the BE SQUARE HOP coming in May so you will have to wait to see.

Be Safe and Healthy,
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Love those two kitty quilts, sooo cute! You've been keeping busy cleaning out totes, finishing flimsies and quilting. Wishing you some warmer and less windy weather so you can at least get out and enjoy the outdoors.

Oh my gosh! I don’t know how I missed that kitty quilt first time around. I’ve pinned it now, for future reference. Too cute. Your finished quilt looks beautiful. It reminded me a little of my snowflakes. And, of course, I love the giraffes.

I had to look long and hard to find the misplaced block. If you don't mention it, no one will notice. I have to make a plan for my H2H quilts or I'll never get them done. Where does the time go? HaHa. Be well.

Love those Giraffes and cute kitty quilts..

I love Lorna's patterns. The directions are always clearly written. With the way kitties like to swish fabric with their tails, I would consider it a design element. Some little people are going to love these quilts.

The Kitty quilts are sew cute. And I do understand the wind issue. I was out trying to snap a picture or two before my flew quilt flew into the next county. Who knows you might have seen it fly by. LOL
