Of Mice & Men
Or is it of cats and red? Moe helped with finishing up with my RSC15 RED blocks. And both furkids have been bringing mice - along with chipmonks, moles, frogs from the pond, a garter snake (Moe), and a rabbit (Bella - and it was alive and caught/released). I think it is a competition on how many items and variety each can bring me.
The fun 9-patch houses - and I promise a tutorial on these as soon as I wrap up some time priority projects.
The Sawtooth Stars that go with the houses. And someone noticed the house and star blocks are not the same size, yet I was using them in the same project. Quilt math my sweets - they will work together.
And the Woven Heart block. I also got 40 red bricks done up for the other project, but they are a boring pile alone. My reds are done for the month.
I finished hand sewing that 72 miles of binding and hope later today I can get it hung outside for some photos (we are expecting storms). But I have another quilt that has taken it's place - waiting 3 months for me to hand sew that binding down. I want to use it for the Pets on Quilts. Yes, that's coming up soon.
OK, I need to get back to work,
Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Great progress. Tutorials are very much appreciated. Writing them does take away from sewing time, doesn't it?
You get an awful lot accomplished Sharon. Love the "72 miles" of binding. That's a lot of binding. :)
Love your red blocks. Looking forward to the tutorial for the house block mainly because I have nothing to work on at my house, HA. It's been many, many years since I was a cat owner. Miss the kitties but not the never ending "gifts" they brought home for me.
Loving those reds, especially the house blocks!
I think it's so sweet that Moe and Bella are bringing you gifts, they probably want to thank you for getting them through that long winter :)
I think cats bring us gifts because they're worried we'll starve - we're obviously bad at hunting, after all...
I love your little houses!
Love the purrfect gifts you get! Waiting on the house tut......and please include your quilty math for these multiple size blocks. Just do a brain download, as mine is one vacation lately.
Lve the house blocks.... the cat's presents - you keep those ok?????
Great RED blocks. My goodness. Those kitties are something! Can only imagine what they would bring home if they were larger!
I don't enjoy "72 miles of binding" either! LOL I'm loving those house blocks...cute, cute, cute! My kitties used to bring me sweet gifts of dead/live birds, lizards, and rabbits. I probably seemed ungrateful to them when I was screaming and running around the house to catch their live gifts.
Lots of pretty blocks, I especially like your house blocks. Good luck with all your deadlines.
All of that red looks great in those perfect blocks; Your furry hunters are busy; Moxie is tough on the bugs that dare to go by her.
72 miles?!?!? You win the distance binding award for sure!
May I borrow them to gather the hundreds of baby rabbits around my neighborhood? LOL They must think very highly of you to bring you such gifts!
Someone found a great sleeping spot! Mine did that in my last sewing area.... they have yet to find me in the new one... hehehe. The snake present would have freaked me out... but what great hunters you have. I'm curious to see how those blocks are going to be set into your quilt... I'll have to wait and see.
Well, that piece of fabric isn't going anywhere is it?! ;- ) So helpful!
love those hearts. I cant start another project. nope you cant make me..........lol
Those reds are fabulous.
If Moe promises not to have a critter contest with Z, can I borrow him to help me get my red blocks done??!! I completely forgot about them until late last night when I couldn't get to sleep and then forgot again this morning until I read your post. All your blocks look fantastic!
Cute nine patch houses. I might even be able to do those ...one day.
Thanks for sharing
